Clean Sweep

Yet there is so much more to do. Please contact us if you wish to remain involved, or get even more involved by serving the community on a board, commission or in other ways.
At the celebration, Ed Sheehy thanked everyone who has gotten involved in our local government, and especially for those who have worked so hard to bring civility back to our political process.

Our team envisions creative ways to improve our town:
- Strong town planning and decision making support the relative market value of our homes. We need to continue timely investments in our town buildings, roads, and equipment. Continued planning and proactive leadership will help us avoid a fiscal crunch.
- Well-educated children are the pride of Woodbridge. The continuation of strong town leadership and communication efforts are required to work with the Amity and Beecher school systems to further their reputations for excellence.
- We must continue sound financial planning to ensure maximum value for our taxes and an economic development plan to balance our tax base. A rejuvenated and energized community spirit is getting things done!
- Many voices in our community have been heard over the past four years. Our team believes we’ll benefit as a town by continuing to expand, not limit opportunities to serve.
- We are running to continue the successful leadership in the areas of public safety, public works, education infrastructure, smart development of our commercial zone, and fiscal responsibility. ‘Proven Leadership’ is our campaign slogan, describing what we believe is Getting the Job Done here in Woodbridge.

Selectmen Letter about Woodbridge Country Club
Wed, 04/22/2009 - 20:37 — Aldon HynesThe purchase of the Woodbridge Country Club is widely supported by Democrats and Republicans alike here in Woodbridge and was approved unanimously by both the Democrats and Republicans on the Board of Selectman after a well attended special meeting where Democratic and Republican citizens alike stood to speak in favor of the deal.
However, as is too often the case in local politics, there is a fair amount of confusion and misinformation floating around about the deal. The Board of Selectmen sent out a letter addressing some of these concerns.
In order to promote involvement and informed discussion about the issues around the purchase of the Woodbridge Country Club, we are reproducing the letter here for the information of all the people of Woodbridge.
