
Mrs. Gedansky serves as the Secretary of the Amity Regional Board of Education and has also served as Chairperson of the Curriculum Committee, Co-Chairperson of the Communications Committee, and a member of the Policy Committee.
A former social studies teacher at Amity Junior High School in Bethany, Mrs. Gedansky has been a part of our Woodbridge community for thirty-five years. She received her BA and her MA in education from Syracuse University. In 1991, Mrs. Gedansky was recognized for excellence in teaching as the Amity Teacher of the Year. She served for many years as the co-treasurer of the Amity High School Athletics Booster Club, and together with her husband Stanley, was inducted into the Amity Athletics Hall of Fame in June 2000. In addition, Mrs. Gedansky is a member of the Connecticut Association of Social Studies Teachers and is also a member of the B’nai Jacob Sisterhood. Now retired, Mrs. Gedansky and her husband, Stan, enjoy attending Amity High School and UConn sporting events, as well as spending time with their seven grandchildren.

Ms. Cardozo brings a professional background in corporate training and adult education, as well as wide-ranging experience serving as a volunteer on school and town committees. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Southern Connecticut State University and a Masters Degree in Marketing from the University of New Haven. Ms. Cardozo is a Realtor and Accredited Buyer Representative with the Coldwell Banker Woodbridge office. Previously, she was the national training director for Century Communications cable company where she worked with diverse groups across the country to improve customer communications and raise performance standards.
Ms. Cardozo served for two years as a member of the Woodbridge Town Library Commission, after appointment by the Board of Selectmen in July 2007. Both as a parent of school-age children and a local realtor, Ms. Cardozo is a staunch supporter of our public schools and a committed community advocate who will continue to work hard to uphold and advance Amity’s fine tradition of educational excellence.
