Pat Cardoza

Patricia Cardozo, 49, is running for a seat on the Amity Board of Education after years of community involvement in different capacities. She and her husband Mica have lived in Woodbridge since 1994 and have two children; one currently attending Amity High School and another currently attending Beecher Road School who will attend Amity Middle School – Bethany in September 2010.

Ms. Cardozo brings a professional background in corporate training and adult education, as well as wide-ranging experience serving as a volunteer on school and town committees. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Southern Connecticut State University and a Masters Degree in Marketing from the University of New Haven. Ms. Cardozo is a Realtor and Accredited Buyer Representative with the Coldwell Banker Woodbridge office. Previously, she was the national training director for Century Communications cable company where she worked with diverse groups across the country to improve customer communications and raise performance standards.

Ms. Cardozo has served on the Woodbridge Town Library Commission since appointment by the Board of Selectmen in July 2007. She has found working as part of a team to support and enhance the town library’s services to be a rewarding experience, and she is now eager to volunteer her time, energy and talents on behalf of our town's young adults at all three Amity schools. Both as a parent of school-age children and a local realtor, Ms. Cardozo is a staunch supporter of our public schools and a committed community advocate who will work hard to uphold and advance Amity’s fine tradition of educational excellence.
